Matt and the MGR team embarked on a busy 4 night stretch this past weekend taking the team to four unfamiliar tracks, with some big payouts on the line.
Thursday, the team made its first visit to the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN for the $2500 to win Sanders Modified Challenge. A stout field of 34 competitors were on hand for the event with Matt slipping from second to fifth in his heat race, but then rallying from his 18th starting spot in the feature to finish with a solid top ten.
Friday, the team made their way to the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN for the King of Dirt event which saw Matt run second in his heat race and then come home with a 13th place finish in the night's feature event.
The final two nights of the weekend were back on the Advantage RV Modified Tour Series, which took the teams to two tracks that they had never competed on before. Saturday night at the Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN, Matt raced from 8th to 4th in his heat race before storming from 10th to fifth in the feature event and then Sunday, the series wrapped up the weekend at the Bemidji Speedway in Bemidji, MN with Matt running sixth in his heat race and then charging from his 12th starting spot in the feature to a solid fifth place finish, giving the MGR team a pair of top five finishes in RV Tour action to cap off the busy weekend.
