August 31, 2019 - Runner-up Finish in Labor Day Special at Fiesta City
1Matt competed in three events over the course of the Labor Day weekend. He was in action on season championship night at the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, MN on Friday night, where he ran fourth in his heat race and then came home with a solid runner up finish in the main event.

1Saturday night, he made the trip to the Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN for the Fallen Lineman Race and raced from 6th to 3rd in his heat race before starting 3rd in the main., but falling out of the race before the checkered flew, ending his night early.

1Sunday, he was in action at the Casino Speedway in Watertown, SD and ran third in his heat race before finishing off the weekend with an 8th place finish in the night's main event.

August 23, 2019 - Mechanical Issues Cut Gilbertson's Night Short
1Matt was in action on Friday night at the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, MN for the track's Modified special. Matt ran second in his heat race and then lined up fifth in the main and ran inside the top five early before having a mechanical issue force him out of the race before the checkered flew.

August 17, 2019 - Gilbertson Grabs Second Win of the Season at Fiesta City
1Matt was in action at the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, MN on Friday night and picked up another feature win for his efforts. He started on the pole of his heat and ran second before making the necessary adjustments to race from his 4th starting spot in the main event to pick up the win! (Alex Ostenson photo)

August 10, 2019 - Matt Gilbertson's USMTS Invasion Ends Early
1After being rained out Friday night and at his original destination on Saturday, Matt entered the USMTS event at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN and qualified for the main event, but pulled off early in the feature, ending his night early.

August 2, 2019 - Gilbertson Bags First Win of the Season at Fiesta City
1 We picked up the win at the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo, Mn on Friday night. We started 4th and ran 3rd in our heat race and then raced from the front row to the lead early and ran off with our first win of the year. (Alex Ostenson photo)
