Gilbertson competes in Land of 10,000 Lakes 10k

Matt jumped into his #23 IMCA Modified over the past weekend and competed in four events in Minnesota, which started on Thursday night at the Princeton Speedway, where he started on the pole of his heat race and unfortunately fell out of the race and then did not start the b-main, ending his night early. Friday, the team moved to the North Central Speedway in Brainerd, MN for the first night of two at North Central and Matt's luck was a bit better, running second in his heat race from fourth before starting 17th in the feature race and working his way forward to record a tenth-place finish.

Saturday was night #2 at North Central and after racing from 10th up to 4th in his heat race, he raced from 6th up to 3rd in the b-main, missing the main by one spot.

Sunday, the final event of the weekend was held at the Granite City Motor Park in Sauk Rapids, MN and after a 6th to 4th run in his heat race, then a win in the b-main, Matt pulled off in the feature, ending his weekend.
