History:
Matt started racing near the end of high school and got hooked instantly. Over the years Gilbertson feels like he's accomplished a lot without any major sponsors. Matt hopes that someone will step up in the near future so that he could do a lot more especially with all the people he has met over the years. One of the things Gilbertson began doing early in his career was traveling to Iowa and further south to big paying shows. That is one thing he enjoys even if he might not win as many races as he would like. From competing in the events Matt is able to learn a lot from the guys that often race for a living.  He has found it to be very gratifying when he can finish ahead of them.   Gilbertson buys and sell race cars and parts probably more than people realize to help pay for his hobby. He hopes to continue to do what heI love and the people that enjoy it with him can continue to follow the team wherever it goes.
